Thank you for your donation! Your contribution is critical to finishing the documentary and helping the homeless community in Austin, Texas, where Blaze lived.
Front Steps uses JustGive.org for all online donations. You can also send checks to Front Steps at 500 E. 7th Street, Austin , TX 78701. Just put "BLAZE FOLEY DOCUMENTARY" in the memo line of your check. Thanks!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The documentary project has secured fiscal sponsorship with Front Steps.
Sounds like we're getting money from Front Steps, doesn't it? Actually it only means that Front Steps has signed a
carefully-worded agreement with Abraxas Productions that extends their IRS-granted nonprofit status to the project.
All donations received by Front Steps with the designation "BLAZE FOLEY DOCUMENTARY" will be granted to the project
by Front Steps, less 7% to cover their administrative and reporting costs.
HOW DOES IT BENEFIT FRONT STEPS?
In addition to the 7% that Front Steps receives up front,
when the movie is finished and all our bills are paid, any excess income from the movie will be donated to Front
Steps for them to help the homeless. This is unprecedented in the movie industry, but we believe that Blaze would
have wanted it this way.
HOW IS MY DONATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
Front Steps is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. By extending their 501(c)(3) status to the documentary
project via an IRS-acceptable Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement, donations sent to Front Steps that are designated for
"BLAZE FOLEY DOCUMENTARY" will in turn be granted to the project by Front Steps. Since your donation goes directly to
Front Steps and the money is granted in a strictly controlled manner, the IRS allows you to claim it as a charitable
donation on your tax return.
WHAT ARE THE SCREEN CREDITS AND GIFTS?
You'll see your name in the closing credits of the movie AND get truly one-of-a-kind gifts as our appreciation for
your donation. In addition, Associate and Executive Producers will be prominently featured in
the opening credits of the movie on their own title cards (there may be multiple Associate Producers and Executive
Producers). The gifts include DVDs and rare audio recordings of Blaze at various times in his life. These are
great recordings and some have never been hard before outside his immediate friends.
