Archival footage

We've been fortunate to receive about an hour of archival videotape of Blaze. This is amazing since Blaze was never famous enough or taken seriously enough to make it on a pop TV show. So it's amazing that he was videotaped at all.

But that's not entirely true -- Blaze, Gurf Morlix and band (Blaze Foley and the Beaver Valley Boys) appeared on the Houston independent TV show "This Little Old Show" in 1981. The show was produced by Bruce Bryant (who's currently producing a documentary about Anderson Fair, the preeminent folk venue in Houston). Unfortunately, the episode of this show has not been found yet.

Some of the videotape is in NYC being cleaned and transferred. We're really anxious to see it, hopefully within the next week.
